is CALUTIDE and what it is used for?
- which belong to the group called
non-steroidal antiandrogens.
- Antiandrogens block the action of male

prostate.
- CALUTIDE is intended for adult men to treat
metastatic prostate cancer that has not spread to other parts of the body.
- It can
be used alone or in combination with other therapies

When you should not take CALUTIDE?
• if you are a woman, child or teen. CALUTIDE

Warnings and precautions:
- Tell your doctor if you have liver problems (mild or severe liver damage)
- This medicine should only be given after the doctor has evaluated the risks and benefits of this medicine.
- If you have any cardiac or vascular disease, including heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias) or you are being treated for these diseases.
Interaction with other medicines?
• cisapride (used to treat heartburn and
stomach problems)
• terfenadine or astemizole (used to treat
allergies)
Before taking CALUTIDE, please tell your
doctor if you are taking or have previously taken CALUTIDE following medicines:
• Ciclosporin - a medicine used to control
the immune system used after organ or bone marrow transplantation
• Diltiazem- calcium channel
blockers
• Oral anticoagulants such as warfarin
• Cimetidine (to treat stomach ulcers or
heartburn);
• Ketoconazole
• Midazolam
Driving and using machines
- This medicine should not affect your ability
to drive or use machines.
- If you decide to drive or use machines, you
should take extra care due to the possible feeling of dizziness.
How to take CALUTIDE?
• The recommended dose is one tablet once a
day.
• Tablets should be swallowed whole with
water with or without food.
• It is important to take the medicine at the
same time each day.
- If you take too many tablets, consult a
doctor or nearest emergency department immediately.
- If you forget to take CALUTIDE
- Do not
take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet. Take it an additional
dose at a normal time.
