ABOUT ISENTRESS?


  - ISENTRESS is an antiviral drug that works against human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV). This virus causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).

 

HOW THE MEDICINE WORKS?

HOW IS ISENTRESS ADMINISTRATED?

The Adults:


  - The recommended dose is one tablet (400 mg) twice daily, orally.

Children and adolescents:


   - The recommended dose of Isentress is 400 mg orally, twice daily for adolescents and children, whose body weight is more than 25 kg. Lek Isentress is also available in the form of chewable tablets for use in children whose body weight is higher of 11 kg and in the form of granules for oral suspension for infants from over 4 weeks of age and children from 1 years up to 3 years old and older who have at least 3 kg but less than 20 kg.

   - Do not exceed the 400 mg tablet, It is not recommended to chew, crush or break the tablets as this may change the level of the drug in your body.

   - The drug can be taken regardless of the intake of food or drink.

 

If you suddenly stop taking Isentress


  - Do not stop taking therapy.

  - Take the medicine continuously as prescribed.

  - It's very important not to stay without medication, even if it takes a short time due to the taking medicine can increase the amount of virus in your blood      This can mean that the HIV virus is became resistant to Isentress.

 

WHAT  SIDE EFFECTS YPOU CAN EXPERIENSE?
