ABOUT X-VIRE:

 - X-VIRE is an antiviral drug, which is used to treat chronic infection with hepatitis B virus (HBV) in adults.

 - This medicine can be administered in people who have a damaged liver, but it still works correctly and in people who have a damaged liver and it does not  work properly.

- X-VIRE tablets are also used to treat chronic HBV infection in Children and adolescents aged 2 years to under 18 years of age. This drug can be administered in    children whose liver is damaged but still work properly.

- X-VIRE reduces the quantity of virus in your body and improves liver status.

 

WHAT ARE PRECAUTION AND WARNINGS?

Do not take X-VIRE if you:

  - Are allergic (hypersensitive) to entecavir

  - Have ever had kidney problems

  - Infected with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus)

 

Taking X-VIRE will not prevent transmission of hepatitis B virus

(HBV) to other persons through sexual contact or bodily fluids it is important to take precautions to prevent contamination to other people with HBV.

 

WHAT ARE RECOMMENDATIONS DURING PREGANANCY, LACTATION NA DRIVING?

 

 - You should not take this medicine during pregnancy.

 - The women in the reproductive period should avoid pregnany. 

 - Breastfeeding is not recommended while taking X- VIR.

 - Handling  the vehicles and machines

 - Due to possible side effects like fatigue and drowsiness that can impair

 - Your ability to drive and work on machines, you should look for the advice from your doctor.

 

HOW IS  X-VIR TAKEN?

For adults, a dose of 0.5 mg or 1 mg once daily is recommended through the mouth.

 - Your dose will depend on:

 - whether you were treated for HBV infection before and what medications you received.

 - kidney  and liver condition          

 

Application in children and adolescents: For children and adolescents (2 to less than 18 years old), your child's doctor will determine the right dose based on the body's weight of the child. Children of at least 32.6 kg of body weight can take oral solution or a 0.5 mg tablet. The oral solution is recommended for patients with a body weight of 10 kg to 32.5 kg. The dose is always taken once a day orally. For children and adolescents (2 to 18 years of age), a body weight of at least 32.6 kg and a prescribed  dose of 0.5 mg (= half tablet of 1 mg), For children and adolescents with a body weight of at least 32.6 kg and for doses below 0.5 mg, it should be applied oral entecavir solution.

 

WHAT ARE KNOWN SIDE EFFECTS?

  - A headache

  - iIability to sleep (insomnia)

  - Express murder (exhaustion)

  - Severe drowsiness (drowsiness)

  - Vomiting

  - Diarrhea

  - Nausea

  - Digestive disorders (dyspepsia)

  - Elevated levels of liver enzymes in the blood

  - Rare (may occur in up to 1 in 1 000 patients):

  - Severe allergic reaction
