ABOUT
VIRADAY:
- VIRADAY contains three antiretroviral active
substances: efavirenz, emtricitabine, and tenofovir used to treat infection
caused by the virus Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
DO NOT TAKE VIRADAY IF YOU:
- Are allergic to the active substances
- If you suffer from severe liver disease
- If you have irregular heart rhythm
Inform your doctor if you are taking some of
the listed drugs:
- Astemizole or terfenadine
- Bepridil
- Methylergonovine) (used to treat migraine
and cluster headaches)
- Midazolam or triazolam (used for easier
sleep)
- Pimozide, imipramine, amitriptyline
- Voriconazole
- Metoprolol
- Antibiotics (macrolides, imidazole)
- Antimycotics containing triazole
- Antimalarials
- Methadone

ATTENTION TO WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
- HIV can be transmitted even while you are
taking this medicine,
- Inform your doctor if you:
- Are taking other medicines containing
lamivudine or adefovir
- Have or have had kidney disease, or
- Have a heart disorder,
- Have ever had a mental illness, including
depression,
- Have
had convulsions
- Have
been taking carbamazepine, phenobarbital, and phenytoin.
- If you have ever had liver disease
- If
you are over 65 years of age
-The recommended dose is: One tablet a day applied to your mouth. VIRADAY should be taken on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals
VIRADAY must be taken every day.
- If you accidentally take too many VIRADAYa
tablets, you may be at increased risk of side effects

- The nearest emergency medical service. Take a
bottle of tablets with you.
- If you forget to take VIRADAY
- It's important that you do not miss taking a
dose of VIRADAYa.
Inform your doctor if you are taking some of
these medicines:
- For
HIV infection: darunavir, indinavir, lopinavir/ritonavir,
- For
hepatitis C infection: boceprevir, sofosbuvir...
- Atorvastatin, pravastatin, simvastatin.
- Anticonvulsants: carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital.
- Antibiotics and antituberculotics:
clarithromycin, rifabutin, rifampicin.
- Antimycotics: itraconazole or posaconazole
- Antimalarials: atovaquone / proguanil
- Hormonal contraceptives
- Antidepressives:
- Immunosuppressives: cyclosporin, sirolimus
or tacrolimus.
- Warfarin or acenocoumarol
WHAT ARE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?
• Psychological disorders:, suicidal
thoughts, paranoia, mood changes, hallucinations),
• Pancreatitis
• Epileptic seizures, trembling
• Liver or kidney damage
• Inflammation of the kidneys, urinary large
quantities of urine and feeling of thirst
• Back pain caused by kidney problems,
including kidney failure.
• Bone softening (with bone pain and
sometimes consequent fractures
• Fat liver
• Difficulty sleeping, abnormalities,
concentration problems, infertility
• Problems with digestion feeling of numbness
and flatulence
• Loss of appetite
• Changes in skin color, including spot skin
